For Kids and Teens

Young Reviewers Club—11-17 Years
The Student Reviewer program is open to any child or teenager who wishes to participate. The participant chooses one of the Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) the bookstore receives from publishers to read and review. (Publishers send these months in advance of publication, so that bookstores can become aware of new titles before they are published.) After finishing the ARC, the participant returns it to us together with a short written review. Each ARC reviewed earns the student a $2 gift certificate to use toward the purchase of another book. When the reviewed book is published, we’ll place the student review with the book on display for other patrons to view. This is a program that benefits both the student and the bookstore , promoting the enjoyment of reading in our community.

Storytime for Ages —2-5 Years
Storytimes occur twice weekly, on Tuesdays (10am) and Saturdays (11am). The storytimes consist of several stories and often a related craft, and are geared toward children six and under. Of course, any child is welcome to join us. We encourage parents or grandparents to join in on the fun as well. On occasion, children’s book authors are our guests at story times, and they read and sign copies of their books for the children.
