To Kill a Mockingbird Readathon!

It's here! On Tuesday, July 14, Harper Lee published the long-awaited sequel (of sorts) to her immortal To Kill a Mockingbird. The new novel--which was actually written in the 1950s and was the precursor to TKAM--is called Go Set a Watchman. Order it here. (Or just call or come in, we have plenty)

On Monday, July 13, starting at noon, Gibson's hosted a "Celebrity Readathon" of To Kill a Mockingbird. Thanks to all our readers! Check out photos from this event on Facebook.

"Following Atticus", with Tom Ryan and Atticus (and possibly Will)

Thursday September 6th, 2012, at 7 p.m.

Last fall, a miniature schnauzer (Atticus M. Finch) and his owner hiked their way into the hearts of New Englanders. A local phenomenon, Following Atticus has been the constant author-event request among our customers, and we are pleased to finally be able to oblige.

Tom Ryan will join us in the store for an evening of stories and Q&A, followed by a signing. Atticus will be there (barring unforeseeable complications), and Will as well. Because other dogs being present make the event distracting and stressful for our canine stars, we ask that you leave your own four-legged friends at home.
