Discover new local authors!

Wednesday, November 14th, 2018, 5:30 p.m.
Join Gibson's to discover a selection of new local authors from the New Hampshire writing community!  What's your preference? This evening we will have historical fiction and senior care to choose from, as Elliot B Baker and Judy Loubier presents their books!

Try some swashbuckling historical fiction with a thread of reincarnation with The Sun God's Heir! Set at the end of the 17th century in France, Spain, and northern Africa, slavery is a common plague along the European coast, and into this wild time an ancient Egyptian general, armed with dark arts, has managed to return and re-embody, intent on recreating the reign of terror he began as Pharoah. Ren must remember his own previous lifetime at the feet of Akhenaten to have a chance to defeat Horemheb. A secret sect has waited in Morocco three thousand years for his arrival. Novelist and playwright Elliott B. Baker grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Having bumped into many different experiences in this lifetime, from shoveling manure in a large chicken house to taking a water ballet class to satisfy a P.E. requirement in college, he finds it hard to know which life experiences ended up being more valuable. The water ballet class was definitely more fun. With four musicals and one play published and produced throughout the United States, in New Zealand, Portugal, England, and Canada, Elliott is pleased to offer The Sun God’s Heir trilogy. A member of the Authors Guild and the Dramatists Guild, Elliott lives in New Hampshire with his wife Sally Ann.

New Hampshire has the second largest elderly population and is facing a "Silver Tsunami" as more and more senior citizens start needing care and assistance in their lives. Judy Loubier visits to talk about finding the right senior care, using examples from her book, Why We Care: Choosing the Right Home Care Agency, published in conjunction with The Institute for Dignity and Grace. Co-authored by 9 different authors across America, each a senior care agency owner, this book is part guidebook and part personal narrative. Owner and executive director of Seniors Helping Seniors New Hampshire, Judy Loubier graduated from Northeastern University in 1985 with a degree in physical therapy. Following her mother’s life changing medical emergency, Judy opened her home care agency in New Hampshire.
