Poetry Society of NH - Yogurt Poets Polyphony

Wednesday, October 18th, 2017, 7 p.m.

The Poetry Society of New Hampshire meets at Gibson's on the third Wednesday of most months! Our headliners this month are the Yogurt Poets Polyphony. An open mic follows their reading. All are welcome, newcomers are encouraged. This event is free and open to the public.

Yogurt Poets Polyphony: Ten members of Concord’s premier poetry group return to Gibson’s for a third appearance to present a diverse and lively evening of poetry. Yogurt Poets originated from a workshop with Wes McNair in 1993. Wanting to continue working together, the original members began meeting at Concord’s Frozen Yogurt shop (thus the name) and have met monthly ever since. The current Yogurt Poets includes 12 members and meets at Kimball Jenkins estate. Those reading tonight and creating a polyphony of poetic music will include Hope Jordan, Kay Morgan, Gail DiMaggio, Nancy Stewart, Anny Jones, Sara Willingham, Mary French, Mary Jo Alibrio, David Coursin and Grace Mattern.
